6 Things to Avoid in Co-Parenting
To co-parent successfully, keep these points in mind:
Never talk negatively about your co-parent to your children.
Don’t ask your child to take sides.
Don’t keep your child from their co-parent out of anger or spite. This is NEVER a good option unless you are concerned for the child's safety.
Never ask the child to spy on the other parent.
Don’t be inconsistent with things you both have agreed on.
Don’t ever not follow through. If you make a promise, keep it.
